After what has been dubbed one of the most explosive Reality TV Finales of all time, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City have returned to bring us their long-anticipated fifth season.
RHOSLC Season 4 Finale
When we last saw the housewives of Salt Lake City on our screens, tensions were high, and now fan
expectations are even higher. The question is, will the show's fifth season leave us wanting more, or
will it fail to live up to it's previous season?
Season 5, Episode 1
We begin our fifth season at Lisa Barlow's 'Besos' party, her own personal spin on Galentine's, to remind her friends that she loves them, "some more than others". The "others" being fellow castmate Whitney Rose, who had recently begin to stir up some trouble after referring to Barlow as a "villain".
More interestingly, the fifth season of the show marks the return of fan favourite Mary Cosby, who has seemingly mended some bridges with her former cast mates while the show was off-air.

Cosby has never failed to disappoint on our screens, and her reappearance in the show's fifth season is no exception. Still, I couldn't help but be shocked upon learning of her newfound friendships with Angie Katsenevas and Whitney Rose.
The fifth season also brings us a new cast mate, Bronwyn Newport, who made quite the impression with her Valentines-themed outfit:

Nonetheless, it seems that rising tensions overshadowed 'the love' at Lisa's Besos party. In true 'Housewives' style, the first episode was filled with awkward introductions, fights at the table, and
of course, business disputes.
Although Whitney may have referred to Lisa as the villain, it seems that she herself is having problems with her fellow cast members. Including, Meredith Marks.
As Meredith never fails to remind us, the bath is her happy place. After announcing that she was launching her own bath bomb line, Meredith felt betrayed upon learning that Whitney had done the same.

However, this was not the most notable moment of the season premiere. This was brought to us by Angie,
who dusted off her scroll (yes, her scroll), when confronting Meredith over her own (supposedly many) betrayals of Angie.
Angie K's Scroll of Betrayal
The end of the first episode came with Whitney storming out of the party after a heated argument with Lisa (and a few others) at the table, Angie K close behind her. Although this spells trouble in their relationship, we can only hope the ladies will come together this season, especially after almost being torn apart at the end of season 4.

Overall, this was a strong first episode. I, for one, am most excited to see how the storyline develops.
